Six players from the U.S. and Brazil sign with Butler men’s soccer program

Butler University men’s soccer head coach Paul Snape and his staff have announced six additional newcomers, part of an incoming group that will be joining the program prior to the upcoming fall season.

These Bulldogs join Oscar Dawber who joined the squad this past spring. (Bulldogs Full Roster)

Incoming Bulldogs

Kyle Alb

Crown Point, Indiana/Crown Point HS (Millennium SA) 6′-2″/190 lbs, D

Alb was a three-year starter and four-year varsity letterwinner at Crown Point High School where he earned All-State, All-Region, All-District, and All-Conference accolades. The team MVP tallied 24 career goals and helped lead his team to a sectional final. His Millennium SA club team was crowned 2022 Indiana State Champions.

In three seasons at Marian University, Alb was a two-time All-Crossroads First Team selection and was named to the Academic All-America Second Team.

On choosing Butler: “I choose Butler to play the highest level of soccer in the county while also obtaining the highest level of education.”

Alb is the son of Daniel & Christine Alb and has two siblings, Jake and Zach. He will be seeking an MBA degree.

Aurie Briscoe

Englewood, New Jersey/St. Benedict’s Prep (PDA/Combine Academy/Rutgers) 6′-1″/180 lbs, GK

In three seasons at Rutgers, Briscoe was in goal for eight matches, making 21 total saves. He was part of the 2022 Big Ten Championship team. His Players Development Academy side was 2019 Atlantic Conference Champion and competed in the 2019 Top-11 DA Showcase. Briscoe was a part of two state championships at St. Benedict’s Prep.

On choosing Butler: “From the moment I spoke with Coach Paul, I knew Butler was the perfect fit for me. The program embodies a winning culture, and I’m eager to immerse myself in that mindset and environment.”

Briscoe is the son of Reyquel Briscoe and Eric Briscoe and has three siblings, Sydney, Erica, and Skotieono. He plans to major in Data Analytics.

Inigo Esmanech

Sacramento, California/K12 Private Academy (Hellas Verona) 6′-3″/190 lbs, GK

Esmanech played keeper with the U17 USMNT which won the 2022 UEFA Development Tournament in Castelo Branco, Portugal. His Hellas Verona (Italy) club won the 2021 Gallini World Cup, where Esmanech was named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

On choosing Butler: “I chose Butler because of the overall atmosphere and how welcoming every one is.”

Esmanech is the son of Tom and Sandra Esmanech. He plans to major in accounting.

Charlie Hosier

Lakewood Ranch, Florida/Lakewood Ranch HS (Tampa Bay United MLS NEXT) 5′-10″/155 lbs, M

Hosier helped lead his Tampa Bay United MLS NEXT side to the MLS NEXT Cup quarterfinals in 2024. Academically, he ranks in the top 10% of his class.

On choosing Butler: “I chose Butler because I was born in Indiana and have lots of family nearby to come and watch me play. I also chose Butler for the quality of their business school and soccer program.”

Hosier is the son of Mandy and Andy Hosier and has one sibling, Lauren. He plans to major in International Business.

Evan Muckridge

Carmel, Indiana/Carmel HS (Indy Eleven Academy) 6′-1″/170 lbs, D

Muckridge is a product of the Indy Eleven Academy, where his side garnered a USL Academy Championship.

On choosing Butler: “Butler is a top-notch university that provides great opportunities for me as a person and athlete. The soccer team is well coached, plays in a great conference, and fits me perfectly. The school will provide me with many future opportunities.”

Muckridge is the son of Chris Muckridge and Kelley Murphy and has one sibling, Avery. He plans to major in Finance.

Bernardo Raposo

Rio de Janeiro, Brasil/Escola Santos Dumont (SE Palmeiras) 6′-1″/170 lbs, M

Raposo played for Palmeiras, Cruzeiro, and Avaí and competed in Campeonato Brasileiro 2, Copa do Brasil 2, and Campeonato Paulista 2. Named Best Overall Athlete at his school, he was also a participant in poetry and oratory contests.

On choosing Butler: “I chose Butler because I really look forward to evolving in academic and athletic ways, and I honestly believe that Butler is the perfect place for that!”

Raposo is the son of Rodrigo and Clarissa and has one sibling, Catarina. He plans to major in International Business.
