Super Y League season kicks off with extensive health and safety protocols in place

TAMPA, Fla. – The Super Y League’s Midwest Division returned to play over the weekend of July 11-12, with multiple games taking place at The Plex in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

“We’re very excited to see our Super Y League clubs finally take the field after a challenging few months,” said Super Y League VP Joel Nash. “While it’s fantastic for our players, coaches and parents to compete again, the health and safety of everyone involved with the league remains of the highest importance.”

With Super Y League clubs beginning to take part in games, league staff will continue to closely monitor the viability of competition in each division based on unique regional factors, as well as guidance from local, state and national health officials.

Per Super Y League’s extensive health protocols for returning to play, the league will play only where official mandates allow while supporting each of its clubs in prioritizing safety. All Super Y League events remain subject to change or cancelation depending on developments regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

As of July 14, the Midwest Division has three more events scheduled in Indiana and Illinois during the coming weeks. The North Atlantic Division will return to play this weekend, with games played in a home-and-away format.
