Super Y League welcomes Great Falls Reston Soccer Club ahead of 2021 season
TAMPA, Fla. – The Super Y League announced the addition of Great Falls Reston Soccer Club. The Northern Virginia club will compete in the Mid Atlantic Division beginning in the 2021 season.
“Great Falls Reston is yet another strong addition to our league from the larger Washington, D.C. area,” said Dominic Colarusso, USL Youth League Growth and Development Manager. “We’re very excited to welcome them to the Super Y League, and I’m confident that they will excel with the league’s high standards of competition and player development.”
Based in Great Falls, Va., the club aims to engage and impact its community by providing its players with enrichment experiences, team spirit, friendly competition, and life skills through sports. The Super Y competition platform offers the club’s coaches the opportunity to provide additional development chances through the summer months, by further reinforcing the skills and tactics they teach in training sessions in added games against high-quality opponents.
“As a club, we’re excited to have the opportunity to be a Super Y member club,” said Great Falls Reston Soccer Club Technical Director Radovan Pletka. “Being able to play different types of teams across our region and the country will not only give our club visibility, but also the ability to evaluate our players’ levels.
“It is important for us as a club to continue to enhance the experience level of our players, as well as provide them many avenues of competition which will allow them to compete for a national championship.”
