Surf Sports partners with Club América to launch new international youth tournament
San Diego, CA — Surf Sports announced the launch of Club América Cup, a new event in partnership with Club América, Mexico’s 2023 Primera División Champions. The 2024 event will be the premier international youth soccer competition showcasing top teams from North, Central, and South América, ultimately crowning the Champions of the Americas across each Boys and Girls age group from U8-U19.
In its inaugural year, Club América Cup top brackets will be played as the Grupo de Campeones for Boys 2010-2012 and Girls 2005/6 and 2008s, with international matchups featured in our Grupo Internacional de Campeones for Boys 2010. The anticipation is already building with commitments from top academies across each continent including Club América (Mexico), Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (Costa Rica), Sociedad Esportiva Palmeiras (Brazil), Los Angeles FC, LA Galaxy, and San Diego Surf (U.S.)

Over 15,000 young footballers and 850 teams will compete across three facilities: Surf Sports Park in Del Mar, CA, plus nearby SoCal Sports Complex and Galway Downs. Surf Sports Park is recognized as one of the nation’s top natural grass facilities in one of the most beautiful locations in Southern California, just 3 miles from the Pacific Ocean.
