Ten Potomac area teams kicking off US Youth Soccer National Championships
Ten Maryland and Virginia teams across the 13U-19U age groups are competing in the US Youth Soccer National Championships this week in Kansas.
Maryland clubs Pipeline SC and Baltimore Celtic SC are being represented by three teams each at USYS Nationals, alongside one team each from Potomac area clubs Arlington SA, McLean Youth Soccer, OBGC and Premier SC.
Group play is taking place from July 23-25, followed by the knockout stages and Finals, which will be played July 26-28.

13U Boys
2006 Pipeline SC Pre-Academy (MD)

One of three Pipeline teams competing in the USYS National Championships, the 13U Boys squad qualified for the event by winning the Eastern Region Championships title.
14U Girls
Pipeline Spirit PreAcademy 05 (MD)

After capturing the 14U Girls title at the Eastern Regional Championships earlier this month in West Virginia, Pipeline Spirit PreAcademy 05 now sets their sights on the national stage.
16U Boys
Baltimore Celtic Premier (MD)

National League qualifier Baltimore Celtic Premier will aim to take down Syracuse Developmental Academy (NY), SLSG (MO) and FC Dallas (TX) in a challenging Group A, as they battle for a spot in the semifinals.
17U Boys
Baltimore Celtic 02 (MD)

At the USYS Eastern Regional Championships earlier this month, Celtic finished off their perfect 5-game run at the event with three straight clean sheets, including in the semifinal and final. They’ll seek to continue that defensive dominance at the national level.
Arlington SA 02 Red (VA)

Northern Virginia side Arlington 02 Red earned its place in the USYS National Championships via a strong season in the National League, as they posted an unbeaten 5-0-1 record.
17U Girls
Pipeline 02 Pre-Academy Spirit (MD)

A standout season in the National League solidified Pipeline 02 Pre-Academy Spirit’s spot in the National Championships. The team finished 5-0-2 in league play, led by the highest-scoring offense in the 17U Blue Division.
18U Boys
OBGC Rangers Blue 2001 (MD)

Maryland powerhouse OBGC Rangers Blue 2001 qualified for Nationals by earning a 1st place finish out of 8 teams in the USYS National League 18U Black Division. At Nationals, they will go up against teams from Michigan, Georgia and Texas in a tough Group A.
18U Girls
Premier Navy 2001 (MD)

Longtime Maryland standout team Premier Navy 2001 posted an undefeated 5-0-2 record this season in National League play, outscoring opponents by a combined margin of 14-1.
19U Boys
McLean Hotspur (VA)

In what will be their last appearance at the USYS National Championships, McLean Hotspur will try to win it all for the 2nd time in the past 4 years. McLean took the national title in 2016 at the U-15 level.
Baltimore Celtic 00 (MD)

A “3-Peat” will be the goal for Baltimore Celtic ’00 as they are the 2-time defending USYS National Champions in their age group. Celtic is coming off a dominant showing earlier this month at the Eastern Regional Championships, which culminated with a rousing 4-1 win over McLean in the title match.
