Texas Longhorns lock in star-studded signing class featuring USWNT prospects
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Longhorns women’s soccer head coach Angela Kelly and her coaching staff announced eight signees to National Letters of Intent (NLI) for the 2024-25 academic school year.
“I think what you see throughout our 2024 signing class is the ability and talent of our incoming class be very dynamic on the pitch while also bringing an incredible amount of versatility, which will enhance our ability to play,” Kelly said. “From the defensive back line forward, this class brings a ton of defensive flare, offensive tenacity and a quality amount of international experience.”
The eight-member class, that is ranked among the top 10 signing classes in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer, features a 5-foot-2 forward out of Lansing, Mich., in Amalia Villarreal, a 5-foot-7 forward out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in Rosa Maalouf, a 5-foot-8 midfielder out of Frisco, Texas in Lola Foley, a 5-foot-4 midfielder out of Mission Viego, Calif., in Molly MacMillan, a 5-foot-2 forward out of Rockville Centre, N.Y., in Chloe Shimkin, a 5-foot-9 goalkeeper out of Lincolnshire, Ill., in Kendell Williams, a 5-foot-4 defender out of Fort Worth, Texas in Vivian Geesbreght, a 5-foot-3 defender out of Allen, Texas in Cambry Patrick.
