Top players from Utah, UCLA and Stanford earn Pac-12 honors

The Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Players of the Week have been revealed following the latest round of competition.

Offensive Player of the Week: Katie O’Kane, Sr., UTAH (Seattle, Wash.)
2 Games, 3 Goals, 6 Points 

  • Became the first Ute in more than six years to record a hat trick, scoring all three insurance goals in the Utes’ victory over Oregon.
  • Two of her three were converted penalty kick goals, Utah’s fourth and fifth of the season.
  • Took a team-high 17 shots in the weekend battles against the Oregon schools, including 8 in the 2-2 tie against Oregon State.
  • First career Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award and Utah’s first since 2016 (Hailey Sklomoski, Oct. 11, 2016)

Defensive Player of the Week: Quincy McMahon, Jr., UCLA (Carmel, Ind.)

  • Helped limit the Huskies to just eight shots in the 3-2 road win against Washington.
  • Recorded an assist on the 69th minute insurance goal, her third of the season, to send the Bruins into 2-0 shutout win over No. 23 Washington State.
  • Held the Cougars to seven shots with just two on goal in her 90 minutes on the pitch.
  • Assisted in UCLA’s six shutouts in the last 10 matches, allowing single digit shot totals from opponents in nine of 10 matches.
  • Fourth career Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week award and third this season (Oct. 24, 2022; Sept. 18, 2023, Sept. 25, 2023)
  • First time a defensive player has won three consecutive Player of the Week nods and only the third time that any player has won three consecutive Player of the Week honors (Jalen Tompkins, COLO – 2016; Ryan Campbell, STAN – 2023).

  • Helped the Cardinal continue their 11-game unbeaten season with a 2-0 weekend against Arizona and Arizona State.
  • Played just 45 minutes against Arizona State, allowing zero goals in the Cardinal’s 2-1 victory.
  • Earned her 13th career shutout, and fifth of the season, in the 3-0 blanking of Arizona.
  • Recorded four saves against the Wildcats to keep the match scoreless, bringing her season total to 22.
  • Seventh career Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week award and fourth of the season (Oct. 3, 2022; Oct. 17, 2022; Oct. 31 2022; Sept. 4, 2023; Sept. 18, 2023; Sept. 25, 2023).
  • Second time a goalkeeper has won three consecutive Player of the Week honors (Jalen Tompkins, COLO – 2016) and only the third time that any player has won three consecutive Player of the Week nods (Jalen Tompkins, COLO – 2016; Quincy McMahon, UCLA – 2023).
