CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – U.S. Futsal National Team head coach Keith Tozer has named 14 players to the roster that will represent the USA at the International Futsal Challenge behind held Nov. 6-8 in San Jose, Costa Rica.

“This upcoming trip to Costa Rica is extremely important towards our preparation for CONCACAF qualifying in May,” said Tozer. “The incredible growth of futsal in the U.S. over just the last 10 years has helped out tremendously to identify new players for our player pool. Not only are we identifying more players but this new generation of player has been playing futsal beginning at a much earlier age.”

The U.S. will kick off the four-nation tournament against Venezuela on Nov. 6, followed by Panama on Nov. 7 and Costa Rica on Nov. 8. All games will be played at BN Arena.

“These players also need the best possible competition we can provide them,” added Tozer. “To play the current CONCACAF Champion Costa Rica in Costa Rica along with Venezuela and Panama is a great start in that process.”
