U.S. U-14 Girls National Team kicks off training camp in Colorado

CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – The U.S. Under-14 Girls’ National Team has kicked off its July training camp in Fort Collins, Colo.

U.S. U-14 GNT head coach April Kater called up 36 players, 27 born in 2004, eight born in 2005 and one in 2006. The first U-14 GNT training camp of this year was last February in Norco, Calif., and featured 48 players, and the second was in San Diego in May and featured 36.

From this camp, Kater will choose an 18-player roster to represent the USA at the 2018 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship that will be held from August 6-13 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., as U.S. Soccer will bring a younger team to the competition which will mostly feature players born in 2003.
