Eleven Major League Soccer clubs are represented on the roster, with four players each coming from LAFC, the Philadelphia Union and Real Salt Lake. The players hail from 10 different states, led by six from California. Forward Abad Vargas, a rare National Team call-up from Alaska, is the younger brother of U-20 MYNT midfielder Obed Vargas. The training camp in KC also represents a homecoming for Heinemann, who played college soccer at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. At Rockhurst, he earned Division II All-American honors his sophomore and junior seasons.
