U.S. U-18 and U-19 Women’s National Teams holding concurrent camps in Georgia

CHICAGO – The U.S. Under-19 and Under-18 Youth National Teams will come together from March 31-April 8 for a concurrent training camp in Fayetteville, Ga., the future home of the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center.

U-19 WNT head coach Carrie Kveton called up 24 players, with 21 born in 2006 and three born in 2007, while Jen Klein will lead the U-18 WNT camp that will also feature 24 players, all born in 2007.

Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, are age-eligible for next year’s 2026 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Poland, meaning all 48 players in camp will be training for a shot at the qualifying team for that tournament. The USA will face host Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Guyana in Group A play at the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship, set for May 29-June 8 in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The top four finishers in the tournament will advance to represent the region at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The U-19 WNT camp roster features 21 college players and three National Women’s Soccer League professionals – Melanie Barcenas of the San Diego Wave, Kennedy Fuller of Angel City FC and Ainsley McCammon of the Seattle Reign. All three played in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup last year in which the Americans took third, the best finish for the USA since the inaugural tournament in 2008. At the World Cup in the Dominican Republic, Barcenas scored three goals with two assists, Fuller had four goals with three assists and McCammon scored once, that coming in the 3-0 Third-Place Match victory over England.

The U-18 WNT camp roster features 14 youth club players, six college players and four professionals — Katie Scott and Mary Long of the Kansas City Current, Zoe Matthews of the Houston Dash and Chloe Ricketts of the Washington Spirit. The first three are in their rookie years in the NWSL while Ricketts is in her third NWSL season.

Seven players from the USA’s 2024 U-17 Women’s World Cup Team will attend U-18 camp in goalkeeper Wicki Dunlap, defendersKiara Gilmore, Leena Powell, Scott and Jocelyn Travers, midfielder Y-Lan Nguyen and forward Long.

Six players on the U-19 roster helped the USA earn a bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile, where the U-19 WYNT put on a strong showing against senior national teams from around North and South America. Among those six players is forward Amalia Villarreal, who scored four times at the Pan Ams and nine times with eight assists for Texas last season when she was named SEC Freshman of the Year.
