U.S. U-19 MNT falls to Spain 1-0 in Copa del Atlantico

LAS PALMAS, Spain (Via U.S. Soccer) – The U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team fell to Spain 1-0 in the first match of the Copa del Atlantico tournament in Canary Islands, Spain.

The U-19’s put up a fight, only allowing one goal in the 37th minute after committing a turnover. Unfortunately the U.S. couldn’t capitalize at the other end of the pitch despite carving out its share of chances.

The USA will next go head-to-head with France on Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. ET. Then the U.S. will look ahead to play host Canary Islands on Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. ET. Both matches will be played at Campo Alfonso Silva in Las Palmas, Spain.
