U.S. U-19 WNT roster named for training camp in Northern California

CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – The U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team will hold its second event of 2016 as 26 players head to Northern California for a training camp in Davis running from March 12-19. The camp will be run by U.S. Soccer Development Coach Jitka Klimkova.

All the players in this age group are eligible for the team that will participate in the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Papua New Guinea, and will by trying to make an impression to get called into U-20 camps prior to the World Cup, which is not until November of this year.

Of the 26 players called up, 16 are college players and the remaining 10 are still playing youth club soccer. Most of the players in camp were born in 1997 with two in 1996, which is the age cutoff year for the next U-20 Women’s World Cup.
