The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team scored a goal in each half to overcome an early deficit and beat Morocco 2-1 in the team’s opening match of the 2012 AGS Cup in Spain.

Ahinga Selemani notched the equalizer for the U.S. in the 21st minute after Chentouf Ahmed had given Morocco an early 1-0 lead in the 6th minute.

Forward Rubio Rubin knocked in the game-winning goal for the U-17 MNT just three minutes from time (games at the AGS Cup are 80 minutes long), as the U.S. started off the tournament on the right note.

Several changes have been made to the tournament schedule as both national teams from Russia and Georgia did not show up as expected. The U.S. was originally placed in a group with Azerbaijan, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates, however, a new schedule has been created.
