U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team to play in four-team tournament in Argentina
The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team will travel to Argentina to compete in a four-team tournament, as well as two international friendlies, from Oct. 18-29 in Buenos Aires and Santa Fe, Argentina.
Prior to the tournament, the U.S. will square off against Uruguay in an international friendly on Sunday, Oct. 21, in Buenos Aires, the country’s capital city.
The tournament begins on Tuesday, Oct. 23, as the U.S. faces off against Chile in Santa Fe. The winner of Tuesday’s match faces the winner of the tournament’s other opening match between host Argentina and Panama. Depending on its result in the first match, the U.S. will play either Panama or Argentina on Thursday, Oct. 25.
Following the brief tournament, the U.S. could potentially play a second friendly match against an opponent to be determined.
U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team head coach Richie Williams will announce the roster and full schedule later this week.
