United Soccer Coaches releases latest college rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 15, 2019) – There were few changes atop the latest polls as United Soccer Coaches released the latest rankings for all levels of the NCAA, Junior College and NCCAA men’s and women’s soccer on Tuesday.

New teams grabbed the top spot in the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s rankings, while the other 12 top-ranked teams kept their No. 1 rankings.

Virginia continues to hold down the No. 1 ranking in both the Division I men’s and women’s rankings. This is the third straight week the Cavalier men sit atop the poll and the fifth consecutive week for the women’s program.

In NCAA Division II, Azusa Pacific is No. 1 in the men’s poll for the second straight week, while Colorado-Colorado Springs is holding down the top spot in the women’s ranking for the third consecutive week.

At the NCAA Division III level, Amherst College is 10-0-2 on the year and took over the top spot in the men’s poll this week. The women’s ranking also has a new No. 1 team with Middlebury College taking over the top spot.

The men’s and women’s teams from Monroe College-New Rochelle continue to hold down the No. 1 spots in the Junior College Division I polls for the sixth straight week. There was no change atop the Junior College Division III polls either with the Mount San Antonio College men sitting at No. 1 in the rankings for the fifth straight week and the Lake Tahoe Community College women at No. 1 for the third straight week.

There were no changes at the top of this week’s NCCAA polls with Oklahoma Wesleyan continuing its stay at No. 1 in the Division I men’s poll as did Trinity Christian College in the women’s ranking. In Division II, Pensacola Christian College and Bob Jones University are No. 1 in the men’s and women’s rankings, respectively.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
