University of Maryland signs former NCAA champion Eden White

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – University of Maryland women’s soccer head coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer has added Eden White to the 2023 Terrapin roster.

White comes to College Park after four successful seasons at Santa Clara. White played an integral role on the Broncos back line, playing every minute in the team’s NCAA National Championship run.

As a Junior at Santa Clara (2020)…2020 National Champion…Played every minute on Santa Clara’s back line in the team’s NCAA tournament run, leading to a national championship…Appeared in 11 matches and started six … collected two assists against Pacific (3/27/21).

As a Sophomore at Santa Clara (2019)…Played in 15 games and made six starts … contributed to eight shutouts … attempted two shots.

As a Freshman at Santa Clara (2018)...Appeared in 13 games and made four starts … made collegiate debut at San Jose State … attempted one shot.

Prior to College…Attended Central Catholic High School and is from Portland, OR. …  as a senior was a captain and team MVP … named to All-Mt. Hood First Team Midfield … named to 6A Second Team All-State Midfield … as a junior, First Team All-Mt. Hood, Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-State Defender. Played for ECNL FC Portland … three-time Oregon State Champions … 2017 ECNL national camp.
