University of Oregon women’s soccer adds midfielder on transfer from Florida

EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon added a transfer from Florida, Madeline Gravante, to the 2020 women’s soccer roster, head coach Graeme Abel announced on Thursday.

The midfielder from Staten Island, N.Y., played the 2019 season at Florida after starting all 17 games as a freshman at Pitt in 2018. She scored a pair of goals for the Panthers.

Gravante will redshirt the 2020 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules.

“We are extremely excited to add someone like Madeline to our program,” said Abel. “She already possess great experiences as a student-athlete on top of growing up in a great youth environment with Paul Riley. We can’t wait to work with Madeline and see the impact she makes within our program.”

Prior to college, Gravante played club soccer for the Albertson Fury ECNL (2014-2016), and FC Fury Academy (2017-2018). She was named the 2016 ECNL Player of the Year for Albertson Fury.
