(Via US Club Soccer) – The National League – Small-Sided Soccer will officially launch at the upcoming United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) Convention in Philadelphia in January 2018. Created to provide expansive small-sided soccer opportunities at dedicated small-sided soccer centers throughout the United States, the league is being sanctioned by US Club Soccer.

The National League – Small-Sided Soccer is dedicated to facilitating the growth in small-sided soccer and the increase in soccer centers with custom fields created specifically for small-sided soccer play of all ages.

The newly formed league will include localized programming for youth recreational and adult. Member teams play eight games per season at dedicated small-sided soccer centers, and adult teams have postseason opportunities of regional qualifiers and an annual championship – the first of which will be held in Miami at the end of the 2018-19 season.

“We are very excited to bring organized small-sided soccer leagues to centers around the country,” said The National League – Small-Sided Soccer Technical Director Mayowa Owolabi. “We are convinced that it will be the most consistent recreational environment for children and youth to grow in soccer, and for adults to enjoy competitive leagues in specialist centers.”
