US Club Soccer unveils girls roster for 2025 id2 National Selection International Tour

CHARLESTON, S.C. – US Club Soccer has selected its girls id2 National Selection team that will compete in France in April 2025.

The 2025 id2 National Selection International Tour spans April 2-12, beginning with a brief domestic camp in Illinois, before traveling to Paris and Lyon for an immersive experience of training, competition and culture. The tour represents the final progression of the current id2 age group cycle targeting players born in 2011.

Eighteen girls were selected from id2 Regional Training Camps held in South Carolina and California over the past couple months. This is the third time US Club Soccer is taking the id2 National Selection girls team overseas; in previous years, the girls participated in national, domestic camps alongside the ECNL.

This year’s girls international tour will be lead by id2 girls head coach Erin Sharpe (NorCal Premier / Pleasanton RAGE). Sharpe will have two complementing assistant coaches in Meg Morris (United Futbol Academy) and Dr. Missy Price (US Club Soccer). In the coming weeks, US Club Soccer will announce the opponents of the 2025 id2 National Selection International Tour.

The id2 Program is a leader in player identification and development, as it provides opportunities for elite athletes to be identified, developed and scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s youth national team programming. The id2 Program is an Olympic Development Program approved by the United States Olympic Committee and the U.S. Soccer Federation. There is no cost for players to participate or be scouted, and all meals, lodging and gear are provided by US Club Soccer and Nike. For the international tour, all travel costs are also covered by US Club Soccer. This approach to eliminating barriers to entry helps ensure the best players are able to participate.

The id2 Program has forged a rich history with notable alumni including Lindsey (Horan) Heaps, Mallory Swanson, Catarina Macario and Trinity Rodman, to name a few.
