USC, UCLA and Stanford players earn Pac-12 weekly awards
The Pac-12 has announced the women’s soccer Players of the Week following the latest week of action in the 2023 NCAA season.
Players from USC, UCLA and Stanford claimed this week’s honors.
Offensive Player of the Week: Maribel Flores, Fr., USC (Fullerton, Calif.)
1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Assists, 4 Points
- Recorded an insurance goal that closed USC’s 3-0 match against New Mexico State.
- Tallied the first two assists of her career, including one on the game-winner.
- Has started every game of the season, scoring three goals in her first six matches.
- One of two Trojan’s with eight points on the season and the most of any freshman in the conference.
- First Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week: Quincy McMahon, Jr., UCLA (Carmel, Ind.)
1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Points
- Scored the game-winning goal in the 54th minute to secure UCLA’s 2-0 win over Pepperdine.
- Led a defense that held the Waves to just two shots overall with none in the second half, the sixth time this season the Bruins have held opponents to four shots or less.
- Helped the Bruin defense to its third consecutive shutout and fifth in their seven matches this season.
- Second career Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 24, 2022) and first this season.
Goalkeeper of the Week: Ryan Campbell, Sr., STANFORD (Laguna Beach, Calif.)
1 Game, 90 Minutes, 5 Saves, 0 Goals Allowed
- Recorded her 11th career shutout in the Cardinal’s 1-0 victory over No. 12 Santa Clara, their second ranked win of the season.
- Made five saves while facing 12 total shots from the Broncos.
- Continues to be unbeaten on the season, going 5-0-1 with three shutouts this season and just three goals allowed.
- Fifth career Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week award (Oct. 3, 2022; Oct. 17, 2022; Oct. 31 2022) and second this season (Sept. 4, 2023).
