U.S. Soccer Development Academy East Conference clubs continued early season action over the weekend.

U-14
Saturday, September 10
Arlington Soccer 2
D.C. United 1
Diego Ochoa Gomez and Pedro Velasquez-Rey each found the net for Arlington, as the Northern Virginia side edged out D.C. United 2-1. Jeremy Garay gave D.C. an early lead in the 10th minute, but Gomez and Pedro Velasquez-Rey struck in the second half to lead Arlington to the comeback win.
Kendall SC 4
Armada FC Pro Academy 2
Four different players – Andres Dapena, Esteban Espinosa, Luis Fernandez-Valle and Tyler Johnson – scored for Kendall SC as the team used a balanced attack to overpower in-state opponent Armada FC Pro Academy 4-2. All four of Armada’s goals came in a dominant second half performance. Armada also got its attack going in the second half, as Niklas Schaffner and Garrison Tubbs scored within nine minutes of each other.

New England Revolution 1
Empire United 1
New England Revolution and Empire United each earned a point to open the season, playing to a 1-1 draw at Medway High School in Massachusetts on Saturday morning.

Capital Area Railhawks – CASL 0
Georgia United and CASL played to a scoreless draw in both teams’ season opener, in a match that saw dominating defense played by both sides.
Orlando City SC 4
Tampa Bay United 0
A first half brace by Roland Dimson and additional first half goals by Nico Diaz and Wasswa Robbins propelled Orlando City SC to a 4-0 rout of Tampa Bay United. Three of Orlando’s four goals came in a 10-minute span from the 25th to the 35th minute.
Continental FC DELCO 2
Cedar Stars Academy 1
Noah Reid and Jackson Temple provided the scoring for Continental FC DELCO in a season opening victory over Cedar Stars Academy. Fabian Diaz cut the lead to one for Cedar Stars in the 68th minute, but the Continental defense clamped down for the remainder of the match to preserve the win. Continental FC goalkeepers Tyler Okin and Brent McNair combined to hold the Cedar Stars attack in check.
Boca United FC 3
Chargers SC 0
A strong overall team effort brought Boca United to a 3-0 shutout win over Chargers SC in an all-Florida match-up Saturday afternoon. Cade McMillen, Seth Martinez and Hudson Cougill scored for Boca, while the back line put on a dominating effort.
Oakwood SC 2
FC Boston Bolts 1
Goals by Shane Mendez and Ronan O’Brien sparked Oakwood SC in a narrow 2-1 win over FC Boston Bolts, while goalkeeper Christian da Cruz and the back line limited Boston to a single score in the 77th minute.
New York City FC 1
Seacoast United 1
New York City FC and Seacoast United played to a hard-fought 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon in New Hampshire. NYCFC’s Lucas Kaehr and Seacoast’s Samuel Latona provided the scoring for each side.
World Class FC 4
Beachside SC 2
Four players got on the scoreboard for World Class FC in a big home win over Beachside SC on Saturday afternoon. Jake Sweeney, Kevin Luciano and Jadon Potter scored within five minutes of each other from the 9th to 14th minutes, and Jason Lasso Salguero capped off the scoring for World Class in the 81st.
Virginia Development Academy 3
Baltimore Armour 0
New Virginia club VDA continued its strong start to the season, netting three goals during a shutout effort against Baltimore Armour. Noah Murdaugh had a brace in the first half, and Sebastian Falsone capped of the scoring in the 49th minute for VDA while James Anderson recorded the clean sheet in net.
Carolina Rapids 2
Atlanta United FC 2
Dylan Mitchiner netted a pair of goals for Carolina while Atlanta United managed to salvage a point thanks to a 68th minute equalizer from Dylan Mitchiner. Jackson Wrobel also found the net for Atlanta United in the 10th minute.
Charlotte Soccer Academy 3
Concorde Fire 1
Kyle Gee scored two goals in a span of three minutes during the first half, leading Charlotte Soccer Academy to a big win over Concorde Fire. Aidan Dwyer scored just two minutes later in the 35th minute, making it three goals in a five-minute span for Charlotte.
New York Cosmos 5

An Augustus McGiff hat trick led the New York Cosmos to a 5-2 victory over Everton FC Westchester on Saturday afternoon. It was the first of two dominating offensive outbursts for New York on the weekend.
New York Red Bulls 4
Loudoun Soccer 0
Host side New York Red Bulls kicked off the new season with an all-around team win over Northern Virginia’s Loudoun SC. Kyle Linhares scored twice, while Esteban Molina and Jayson Argueta each found the net once.
Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth 1
Met Oval 1
In a defensive battle, host side Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth took an early second half lead on a strike by Lucas Ross, but Met Oval finally broke through in the 77th minute on an equalizer by Abdul Seck.

Carolina Rapids 2
Concorde Fire 1
Andre Vicharelli and Kyle Morgan found the net within four minutes of each other to help Carolina mount a second half surge, edging out Concorde Fire 2-1. Concorde had previously takend the lead in the 46th minute on a strike by Corey Field.
PDA 1
Bethesda SC 1
PDA and Bethesda SC played to a 1-1 draw, with PDA’s Brandon Nicholas and Bethesda’s Jose Ortega providing the scoring. Goalkeepers Tomas Lazicki and Eric Huberty each held their opposition to just one goal.
Lehigh Valley United 3
Richmond United 1
Three different players – Matthew Bausher, Caleb Gerdeman and Kresstoph Whittick – found the net in a victory for LVU, as the team did all of its scoring in the first half. Midfielder Damian Gallegos netted the only goal for Richmond United in the 66th minute.
New York Cosmos 6
Beachside SC 1
Augustus McGiff netted his fourth and fifth goals of the weekend as the Cosmos surged to a decisive 6-1 win over Beachside SC. Marco Lanza, Richard DeBrosse, Michael Mollica and Constantinos Nicolaou also found the net for New York, which scored a total of 11 goals in two victories on the weekend.

Ryan Castriotta, Benjamin Verner and Joseph Buck scored within 12 minutes of game time as FC Boston Bolts picked up a 3-0 win over Empire United. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Marzuq Puckerin earned the clean sheet in net.

New York City FC 0
Seacoast United played host to New York City FC on Saturday in a match that ended in a scoreless draw. NYCFC improved to 1-0-1 on the season, earning its fourth point while Seacoast United picked up its first point of the season.

Following more than an hour of scoreless soccer, Joseph Alex gave Empire United a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute. However, Everton FC Westchester answered back in short order, as a Jonathan Jimenez strike leveled the score at 1-1 just two minutes later.

Baltimore Armour 0
Jeremy Rafanello recorded a brace as Continental FC DELCO blanked Baltimore Armour 2-0. Goalkeeper Vincent Nocito recorded the clean sheet in net for Continental FC.

Youssef Mouelhi netted two goals while Yohan Le Bourhis and Moulay Abdallah Kanzi Belghiti scored one each in a 4-2 win for Montreal Impact FC over Beachside SC.

Scott Taylor recorded a hat trick as the Red Bulls won comfortably, 3-1 over rival D.C. United. Midfielder Tonny Villatoro scored the only goal of the game for United.

Nicholas Blacklock, Daniel Bloyou and Carter Emack each found the net for Philadelphia Union in a 3-0 shutout of PA Classics. Goalkeeper Eoin Gawronski earned the clean sheet in net for the Union.

Weston FC got the best of IMG Academy 3-1, scoring twice in the first half and and again in the second half on goals by Damon Diaz, Bautista Hambra and Federico Tellez. Wilmer Cabrera scored IMG’s lone goal in the 12th minute.
Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth 3

Matthew Leon netted two goals and Jack Worth scored one in a narrow 3-2 win for Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth over Richmond United. Ethan Manheim and Key White each scored for Richmond in the loss.

Charlotte Soccer Academy and Concorde Fire played to a scoreless draw at Bailey Park on Saturday afternoon. Hector Cardenas III recorded the shutout in net for Charlotte, while Wesley Petry claimed the clean sheet for Concorde.

Atlanta United received goals from George Bello, James Brighton and Dawson Gideon in a 3-1 victory over Carolina Rapids. Owen Peeler put Carolina on the board in the 75th minute in the loss.

Diego Montes and Peter Mazanek netted second half goals to give BW Gottschee a tough 2-0 win over New England Revolution. Goalkeeper Marcus Peterkin recorded the clean sheet for Gottschee.

The Carolina Rapids and Concorde Fire played to a scoreless draw on Sunday. Yianni Pitsonis earned the shutout in net for Carolina, and Caelin Whitehead notched the clean sheet for Concorde.

Four different players – Skylar Conway, Aziel Jackson, Jared Juleau and Anthony Rovito – netted goals in a 4-1 win for the New York Red Bulls over Richmond United. Goalkeeper Matthew Goodman and the Red Bulls back line held United to just one goal on the day.

PDA edged out Bethesda SC 1-0 on Sunday at the Morningside Complex in New Jersey. Defender Marco de la Bandera played the full time on the PDA back line and also scored the only goal of the match in the final minute of regulation. Goalkeeper Hunter Pinho recorded the clean sheet in net for PDA.

Everton edged out Empire United 2-1 on Saturday morning, as Lucas Arzan and Andrew Lasso found the back of the net for the winning side. Brett Stern scored a late goal for Empire, cutting the final deficit to one.
Baltimore Armour 4

George Stephen Nichols recorded a brace with two goals late in the second half, leading Baltimore Armour over Continental FC DELCO 4-2. Sean Clarke and Jacob Williams also found the net in a four-goal second half for Baltimore.
Montreal Impact FC 1
Beachside SC 0
After more than 77 minutes of scoreless soccer, Montreal Impact FC got on the board with a late game-winner from Vincent Lamy. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Charles Desrochers and the Impact back line shut down the Beachside SC attack the entire match.
New York Red Bulls 4

Omir Fernandez recorded a brace, while goalkeeper Sam Ilin earned a clean sheet for the Red Bulls in a 4-0 victory over D.C. United. Jonathan Filipe and Zachary Ryan each scored as well in a three-goal second half surge for New York.

Carlos Dulcey, Jesus Alberto Luna and Liam Murphy racked up goals for Weston FC in a 3-1 victory over IMG Academy on Saturday afternoon, during a visit to the IMG Soccer Complex.

Following a scoreless first half, Tevoi Peck put Boca United FC on the board in the 67th minute, and that appeared to be enough for his team to secure a win. However, in the waning seconds of stoppage time in the 93rd minute, Robert McCoy buried the equalizer for Chargers SC.
Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth 3

A Cameron McGregor brace and another goal by Denir Radoncic propelled Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth to a 3-1 win over Richmond United. Brandon Perdue put Richmond on the board in the defeat.

Four different players – Cheick Fofana, Lagos Kunga, Adeola Oke and Victor Pereyra-Zavala – netted goals for Atlanta United FC in a 4-0 shutout of Carolina. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Samuel Morton and the Atlanta back line shut down the Rapids’ attack.

Preston Popp scored two goals in the final 18 minutes of the match to lead Charlotte Soccer Academy over Concorde Fire 2-1. Junior Pineda gave Concorde the lead in the 29th minute, but Charlotte broke through with the late comeback.

Philadelphia’s balanced and methodical team attack allowed six players to each score one goal in a drubbing of PA Classics. Goalkeeper Kristopher Shakes and the Union defense held Classics scoreless throughout the contest.

Junior Pineda recorded a brace, while Edward Raji and Clayton Dawes both added goals of their own as Concorde Fire claimed a 4-0 win over Carolina Rapids. Goalkeeper Jeremy Lewis and the Fire back line blanked the Rapids attack.

Patrick Okonkwo scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute as Atlanta United FC secured its second clean sheet victory of the weekend. Goalkeeper Russell Shealy tallied the shutout in net behind a tough Atlanta back line.

After Richmond United scored in the final minute of the first half to even the score at 1-1, goals would be even harder to come by in the second half. The teams remained deadlocked until the 75th minute when Omir Fernandez found pay dirt for the Red Bulls, on a strike which proved to be the game-winner.

Four players – Nelson Blanco, Edison Giron, Taofik Lucas-Walker and Eric Matzelevich – scored as part of a balanced D.C. United attack in a 4-3 win over Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth.

Bethesda SC 2
Giovanni Vasquez opened the scoring for Bethesda SC in just the 6th minute, but PDA evened things up in the 56th on a goal by Justin Jennings. The teams traded goals once again from there, as Bethesda managed to re-claim the lead in the 82nd on a strike from Erik Espinoza Jr. Josh Burnett’s 90th minute equalizer secured the point for PDA, and took away what appeared to be a road win for Bethesda.
