Virginia Tech signs MLS NEXT product along with two European recruits
BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men’s soccer head coach Mike Brizendine announced the additions of Sergios Feneridis, Harry Neill and Oliver Roche ahead of the program’s 2023 campaign.

Fenerides joins the Hokies following stints overseas with APOEL Nicosia and MEAP Nisou FC. The left-back has experience at the international level, having played at the U21 level for Cyprus and U19s for Russia. He cites his fondest memories in his career so far as representing his country on the European stage and competing in the youth Champions League with his club.

Neill will offer added depth to the Hokies’ defense, offering experience from playing with Cedar Stars Academy – Bergan, which competes in the MLS NEXT. With his club, Neill hoisted the 2022 USYS National Championship trophy, along with making an appearance in the 2021-22 playoffs. Primarily playing on the left side of the pitch, Neill offers an attacking edge to his game with his aggressive playstyle and two-footed ability.

Roche ventures to Blacksburg after spending time with Danish clubs AC Horsen and Odense Boldklub (OB). While climbing the youth ranks, Roche earned a call-up to Denmark’s U16 squad and scored in his debut against Ireland in 2019. The striker is no stranger to success, having been part of OB’s 2021 side that claimed the Mladen Ramljak Cup Championship.
