BLACKSBURG (Via Virginia Tech) – With the start of its spring training season, the Virginia Tech women’s soccer program is also set to announce its spring season schedule. The schedule has five competition days and is highlighted by the Hokies taking on the Washington Spirit in April.

“We’re very excited to get into our 20 hours (which started today)” head coach Chugger Adair said. “We had been in our eight hours for a couple of weeks and we had some good sessions and just some average ones, so we’ve lacked some consistency with our training.”

“So, we’re looking forward to getting into the training regime of four or five days each week – getting more touches and getting more consistence on our training and technical ability. This schedule that we have moving forward, the five dates, are very challenging. We get to play against some good teams that are going to test us in different ways which we are looking forward to. And we’ll use them to grow and develop the overall team and prepare us for the fall.”
