visitRaleigh.com Showcase set to begin with 1,380 teams competing across 4 weekends

RALEIGH, NC – Over the course of the next month, 1,380 of the top boys and girls youth soccer teams will be competing in the 2023 visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series.

Considered to be one of the top boys and girls youth tournaments in the country, the visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series provides a high level of competition from all ages. This year’s event will kick off with the Girls Junior Showcase (U10-U14) which will be held from November 4-5 and will include 228 teams.

After the opening weekend, the Boys Junior Showcase (U10-U14) will kick off play the following weekend on November 11-12 with 251 teams taking the field. After the Juniors have finished, the College Showcase portion of the event will begin with the Boys College Showcase (U15-U19) on November 17-19.

The Boys College Showcase will feature 357 teams from across the United States. The event will take a one week break for the Thanksgiving holiday and then conclude with the Girls College Showcase (U15-U19) from December 1-3.

As part of this year’s Girls Showcase event, all U16-U19 teams will also have the chance to attend the NCAA Women’s College Cup Semifinals, which will be held on December 2nd. Each attending showcase teams receives a set of free tickets to the college games.

In total, teams attending the visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series will represent 24 different states, as well as the District of Columbia and several teams from Canada.

The states represented include: Alabama, California, Colorado, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky,  Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania,  South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.

Teams accepted into the tournament are highly-accomplished members of the nation’s most competitive leagues, including the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), Girls Academy, US Youth Soccer National League and US Club Soccer National Premier Leagues (NPL), among others.

The visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series will once again take place at the WRAL Sports Park, one of the largest youth sports complexes in the country. The 122 acre facility features 22 fields, including eight fully turfed fields.

In addition to providing a high level of competition, the Boys and Girls College Showcase Series weekends will also provide players college recruiting opportunities. In 2022, more than 950 college coaches attended the College Showcases.

Both the Boys and Girls College Showcase Series weekends will be hosting College ID Combine sessions where players can engage with college coaches in a training environment to learn more about what it takes to play at the next level.

Goalkeepers will also have the opportunity to work on their skills in the Goalkeeper Showcase. The Goalkeeper Showcases are one hour training sessions that will be run by the NCFC Youth Academy Staff. Players will have the chance to show their goalkeeping skills in front of college coaching staffs and receive technical and tactical training advice.
