Xavier women’s soccer adds 11 members to roster for 2021 class
CINCINNATI – Xavier women’s soccer head coach Nate Lie added a deep class of freshmen to the 2021 Musketeers roster for the fall. Meet the newcomers below.
Kyra Brandon is a midfielder from Canton, Mich., where she attended Plymouth High School.
Brandon played club soccer for the Michigan Hawks from 2016-21. She also played varsity basketball at Plymouth, earning Team MVP three years and BCAM All-State Honorable Mention twice, and setting school record for assists and steals.
Brandon is a Sports Medicine major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Lynne Brandon and has three siblings, Mya, Ethan and Sergio.
Dana Dahm is a defender from Blue Ash, Ohio, and a graduate of Ursuline Academy.
Dahm spent two seasons on the varsity team at Ursuline as a freshman and sophomore before focusing on club play as a junior and senior. She spent 10 years with her club program Ohio Elite, playing center back.
Dahm is a Finance major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Jenny and Mike Dahm and has five older siblings, Joe, Jack, Brian, Amelia and Paul.
Tori Lyncha is a defender from Medina, Ohio, and a graduate of Medina High School.
Lyncha was a four-year varsity starter, collecting nine goals and 13 assists at Medina. In 2020, she earned First Team All-Ohio and All-Central Region after play for the district finalists. In 2019, she earned First Team All-Conference playing on a State Semifinalists squad. She also played club for Cleveland Futbol Club.
Lyncha is a Sports Marketing major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Brian and Kari Lynch and has one older sibling, Allie.
Grace Menser, a midfielder from Commerce Township, Mich., graduated from Walled Lake Western High School.
Menser earned a spot on the varsity team each of her four years at Walled Lake Western, totaling 23 goals in her first two seasons and was named a captain as a junior before the season was canceled. She earned All-Conference and All-District honors in both of her first two full seasons. Menser also played club soccer for the Michigan Hawks, and ran track for Walled Lake Western.
Menser is a Business major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Eric Menser and has one brother, Brennan.
Katelyn Nardulli is a midfielder from Naperville, Ill., where she attended Neuqua Valley High School.
Nardulli was a four-year starter on the varsity team at Neuqua Valley, earning All-Conference and All-State honors. She also played club for Team Chicago, and earned honors as one of the Top 11 players in the Midwest Conference.
Nardulli is a Nursing major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Mike and Amy Nardulli and has a younger sister, Lauren.
Chloe Netzel, a forward from St. Louis, Mo., is a graduate of Liberty High School.
Netzel was a four-year varsity team member, scoring over 80 goals in the three years she played at Liberty. She was twice named the conference Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-State First Team. Netzel also played five years of club soccer for Chicago Soccer Academy and Lou Fusz, winning a state championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019, as well as a national title in 2019.
Netzel is the daughter of Fred and Lisa Netzel and has a younger brother, Gavin.
Mathilde Rasmussen is a forward from Skive, Denmark where she attended Viborg Katedralskole.
Rasmussen competed in the Elitedivisionen women’s soccer league in Denmark, playing for AaB Fodbold from 2019-21. She was also a part of the U-17s National Team of Denmark which won the European Championship in Bulgaria in 2018.
Rasmussen is a Biomedical Science major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Irene and Henrik Rasmussen, and has two siblings, Sebastian and Josefine.
Ella Rogers is a midfielder from Granville, Ohio where she graduated from Granville High School.
Rogers spent four years on the varsity team at Granville, collecting over 60 goals and 40 assists for her career. She was named to the All-Licking County Team in each of her four seasons, and as a junior, earned District Player of the Year and First Team All-State Honors. Rogers also played four years of varsity basketball.
Rogers is studying Sports Management at Xavier. She is the daughter of Denny and Janell Rogers and has one sibling, Coury, who plays golf at Otterbein.
Shelby Sallee, a forward from Strongsville, Ohio, comes to Xavier from Strongsville High School.
Sallee played four years of varsity soccer at Strongsville, finishing her career with 72 goals and 26 assists, earning First Team All-State as both a sophomore and junior. In 2019, she was named a High School All-American and earned conference and district Player of the Year honors. Sallee also played basketball and ran track.
Sallee is majoring in Political Science at Xavier. She is the daughter of Sherry and Brian Sallee. Her father played football at Bowling Green. Sallee has one older sibling, Sydney.
Natalie Schutte is a goalkeeper from North Bend, Ohio and a graduate of Seton High School.
Schutte was a two-year member of the varsity team at Seton, playing in 14 games in 2019, and finishing with a .886 save percentage after only allowing eight goals on the season. In 2020, Schutte played in 16 matches, collecting over 100 saves on the season. She also played three years of varsity basketball.
Schutte is a Business major at Xavier. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Melissa Schutte and has one older sibling, Sam.
Izzie Wallace, a forward from Fishers, Ind., graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School.
At Hamilton Southeastern, Wallace earned a spot on the varsity team as a freshman, and eventually set a new school record for goals in a single season with 30 as a junior. She also spent five years playing club with Indy Premier.
Wallace is an Exploratory major with a focus in STEM fields. She is the daughter of Sheila and Jonathan Wallace. Her father ran track at Michigan State.
