Indiana to host 2018 US Youth Soccer Region II Championships
FRISCO, Texas (Via US Youth Soccer) — US Youth Soccer has announced that Westfield, Ind., and Indiana Soccer will host the 2018 US Youth Soccer Region II (Midwest) Championships as part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. The games will take place at Grand Park Sports Complex.
The championships are expected to draw more than 4,100 players and an estimated 12,000 spectators.
The US Youth Soccer Region II Championships consist of US Youth Soccer State Champions from 14 state associations (including host Indiana Soccer), US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional League Premier Division champions and select wild cards. Following individual state championship tournaments, the Regional Championships are the second leg of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.

The tournament will attract more than 200 boys and girls teams, ages 13-and-Under through 19-and-Under, from the 14 Midwest US Youth Soccer State Associations that make up US Youth Soccer Region II (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio South, Ohio North, South Dakota and Wisconsin).
Grand Park is a familiar complex for US Youth Soccer as the 2016 Region II Championships also took place in Westfield.
“Grand Park has one of the finest soccer complexes in the country and we are very excited to return to Westfield, Indiana, after a tremendously successful event in 2016,” said Jonathan Meersman, Region II Championships Chair. “We look forward to working with Indiana Soccer and the staff at Grand Park to run another outstanding Region II Championships in 2018.”
Regional winners of the 13U through 19U brackets will earn a berth to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Frisco, Texas.
