NATIONAL TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

• Born in Colombia, he earned his U.S. citizenship in December 2019 and declared his intention to represent the USMNT the following month earning his first cap in the 1-0 win vs. Costa Rica on Feb. 1, 2020 in Carson, Calif.

• Scored a USMNT record-tying four goals that propelled the side to a 5-0 rout of Grenada in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,500 on June 10, 2022, at Q2 Stadium as the USA began defense of its Concacaf Nations League title. His four goals tie a USMNT record for most goals in a game, the fifth time the mark has been achieved and the first since Landon Donovan scored four against Cuba in 2003.

• Prior to declaring his intention to play for the USA, his play for FC Dallas in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy earned him invites to train with various U.S. Youth National Teams even though he was not yet eligible to represented the United States.

2022 FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFYING

• Played in six of the 14 Octagonal Round games, earning two starts

• Scored the third goal in the 5-1 route of Panama on March 27, 2002, ensuring a vital three points on the penultimate matchday

• Set up Antonee Robinson for the game-winning goal in the 1-0 shutout of El Salvador on Jan. 27, 2022, in Columbus

CLUB HIGHLIGHTS

• Named 2022 MLS Young Player of the Year, the second FC Dallas player in a row following Ricardo Pepi

• Tallied 18 goals and six assists across 33 games (29 starts), tying the club’s single-season goals record as jointly held by Kenny Cooper and Jason Kreis.

• Also became the second player in MLS history to record at least 30 goals and 20 assists in his career before turning 22, joining Austin FC winger Diego Fagúndez.

• Became the youngest player in FC Dallas history and the second youngest in MLS to score a goal when he made his MLS debut on June 3, 2017 vs Real Salt Lake at 16 years and 161 days old.

• Has already played in and won a trophy in Qatar. In November 2016, he led FC Dallas Academy to the U-18 Tri-Series Tournament title. Ferreira scored for FCD in the 1-1 draw with Leicester City – FCD ultimately winning the game in a penalty shootout. FCD then played hosts Aspire Academy needing a victory to clinch the title. FCD won 2-1, with Ferreira scoring both goals.

• Part of the U-16 FC Dallas Academy team that won the 2015-16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Championship after going 23-2-0 during the regular season.

PERSONAL

• Ferreira is one of six USMNT pool players who has a parent who played professional soccer. This roster includes Gio Reyna (Claudio) and Tim Weah (George)

• His father, David Ferreira, was a member of the Colombia team that won the 2001 Copa America. He first joined FC Dallas on loan in 2009 and was the 2010 MLS MVP, leading FC Dallas to a runner-up finish in the MLS Cup final that year.

• In his free time, Ferreira shifts his focus from soccer to working on his farm where he is an aspiring zoologist.

• Ferreira raises horses, chickens, goats and alpacas at his Dallas-area farm.
