My interpersonal skills, coupled with my love for the sport, make me an effective team player on and off the field.

*San Mateo Daily Journal (Jan 22, 2025)- Dons, Cats Battle to a Bay Division Draw. “From that point on, the game went end to end and if not for the outstanding goalkeeping of Aragon’s Lorelei Rustay, Woodside probably comes away with the win. The Wildcats had 15 shots, 10 of which were on goal. But Rustay finished with nine saves — very few of which were routine…Rustay came up huge with a pair of first-half saves that kept Woodside off the scoreboard. In the 18th minute, the Wildcats put together a sequence that was as beautiful — and potentially lethal — as you’ll see. Holding midfielder Ruby Rodriguez sent a perfect pass to the right flank where Kaylie McKee came streaking in and broke on goal. she sent a cross in front of the goal, with Mariam Yusuf crashing at the far left post. It seemed an easy tap-in for the unmarked Yusuf, but Rustay came out of nowhere — looking like a hockey goalie sliding across the crease — and smothered the shot on the post in a “had to see it to believe it” moment.”

TDS ECNL Girls Best Performances on Day 3 (Nov 13, 2023)- “Rustay showcased an impressive display of goalkeeping skills. She has sharp reflexes and strategic positions that led to multiple one-on-one save situations. Her ability to make crucial saves in those individual confrontations boosted the morale of the entire team.”
