Club Team: Sting Dallas Royal ECNL U17G

My name is Soraya Hayes, class of 2026. I am a student athlete with a 5.4 WGPA/4.0 GPA. I have a strong desire to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level. My goal is to positively represent a school and a team where I can contribute to its success and strengthen my skills on and off the field, and where their program shares my academic and athletic principles and values. Currently, I play for Sting Dallas Royal ECNL U17G and Byron Nelson High School. My primary position is starting center back, and then outside back, and I have been known to play winger.

My previous team (Sting Dallas Royal ECNL RL 08G) & I won the Texas Regional Playoffs 22-23 season, and earned a spot at Nationals. And this season, we have already won the Texas Cup, securing a spot in the conference playoffs.

Along with club practice and high school practices, I do private trainings for speed & agility, as well as skills. I am also a sprinter for our Byron Nelson HS track team. My PSAT score was in the top 25 of 750 students. In my down time, I love to play video games, hang out with my friends, read books and spend time with my family. My love & passion for soccer started at an early age of 3 in California, and had my Dad as a mentor and coach. After moving to Texas I continued to play and become more competitive, while playing in some of the craziest weather imaginable. Texas is an excellent training ground for learning how to be calm, quick thinking, and flexible in an ultra competitive environment.
