Sydney is a dynamic defender, playing wingback and/or winger. She possesses a strong combination of overall athleticism, agility, physical strength, height, and speed with technical skills in tackling, ball control, and passing. Sydney has superb conditioning and endurance, which allows her to play entire games. She has good tactical awareness to position well and read the game effectively, with an ability to scan and make quick decisions to dribble into space, make short passes, initiate give-and-go plays, or launch longer range passes from deep areas. A natural leader, you can also hear Sydney communicating with her teammates on the pitch and during the game to strengthen the back line and anticipate plays. Sydney also has the ability to play where and when she is needed and comes up for offensive plays as well, such as headers, corner kicks, and free kicks. Sydney has an impressive work ethic and has proven her worth in the ECNL league as a stand-out defender.
