OMG! What a Goal! Clint Dempsey scores historic goal for Tottenham to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford [Video Highlights]

This week’s OMG! What a Goal! was chosen, not so much because of the impressiveness of the goal, but because of its significance.

U.S. star Clint Dempsey, who recently transferred to Tottenham Hotspur from Fulham, scored his first goal with his new club in their match against Manchester United on Saturday at Old Trafford. It was also the first time Dempsey has ever won at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s home stadium, in his five years playing in the English Premier League.

Dempsey scored off of a rebound in the 52nd minute to put the Spurs up 3-1 and give the club its eventual game-winner. After going up 2-0 in the first half, Tottenham found themselves under pressure early in the second half, with United scoring two goal in a two-minute span (on either side of Dempsey’s goal).

The historic goal gave Tottenham their first victory at Old Trafford since 1989.
