Players That Impressed: Girls Academy 2025 Spring Showcase

The Girls Academy’s 2025 Spring Showcase was held in Greensboro, NC from April 10-14, featuring U15-U19 teams for a week of non-conference competition in a showcase environment.

College coaches from around the country traveled to North Carolina to watch the action at Bryan Soccer Park, where the GA’s best teams went head-to-head over the course of five days. (COLLEGE COACHES)

Audrey Walker | Midfielder / Forward
Lou Fusz Athletic 2009 (MO)

A highly-rated attacking prospect from the Class of 2028, Walker flashed her talents with a brace during Lou Fusz Athletic 2009’s 3-0 victory over Skyline Elite. She showed exceptional chemistry with her teammates, along with high-end speed and ball control to put consistent pressure on the opposing back line.

Lou Fusz Athletic 2009 (MO)

Another Class of 2028 attacking player who serves as a major contributor for Lou Fusz Athletic 2009, Dempsey took over the game with her playmaking skills against Skyline Elite, contributing a pair of assists. She also scored a goal of her own in a 4-0 win over Triangle United.

AFC Lightning 2009 (GA)

Team Captain for an AFC Lightning 2009 squad that was a well-oiled machine throughout the showcase, piling up goals on their way to three consecutive wins. Sawyer organized the midfield to keep the scoring chances flowing, making many line-breaking passes and contributing a pair of goals along the way.

Louisiana TDP Elite 2009 (LA)

The talented center back led Louisiana TDP Elite’s back line during a truly dominant run, as they recorded three consecutive clean sheet wins. Bernhard had an excellent performance against Virginia Revolution as Louisiana Elite put everything on the line to preserve a tough 1-0 victory.

Blues FC 2010 (CA)

Peyton showcased her versatility and high soccer IQ during tournament play, taking on roles at the #6, 38, #10, #11 and even the #2 position. Her adaptability was instrumental as she adjusted based on the needs of the team and specific challenges presented by each opponent. Whether controlling the midfield, creating in the attacking third, or locking things down defensively, Peyton’s selfless attitude and tactical awareness elevated her team’s performance through the showcase.

Tatum Douglas

Douglas had a role in both of Lou Fusz Athletic 2009’s shutout wins in North Carolina, sharing time in net with Claire Benoist. Douglas stepped up big against Skyline Elite to preserve their second clean sheet, making some tough stops amid chaos in the box during the final minutes of the second half, holding the Virginia side off the scoreboard. Reid guest played for STA Soccer’s 2007 team and scored in two of the three games this weekend, starting with a brace in the first match. She created scoring opportunities with her speed, using the whole field and making some great passes with outstanding ball placement. She helped STA go undefeated at the showcase, while also playing in the midfield where she made some key defensive contributions en route to a pair of shutouts.

Lou Fusz Athletic 2009 (MO)

Splitting time between the posts with Tatum Douglas, Benoist and the Lou Fusz 2009 back line combined for a pair of clean sheet victories during their time in North Carolina. Benoist flashed her skills throughout the tournament, including a key stop on a powerful on-target shot from distance, in which she tipped the ball up to the crossbar and out of harm’s way. (WATCH)

Wake FC 2008 (NC) 

Turned in a strong performance while lining up at multiple positions during Wake FC 2008’s unblemished run at the GA Spring Showcase. George was rock solid at outside back, contributing to a pair of clean sheets as the team conceded just one goal at the event. She also got involved in the attack, scoring a goal of her own. While playing on the wing, she served up some great passes and maintained an extremely high work rate.

Came up big for New York SC 2008 during a successful overall performance for her squad, as they picked up a pair of wins. Pace had a tough goal off a corner kick, which proved to be the game-winner, and set up her teammates with a couple assists along the way. (WATCH)

Louisiana TDP Elite 2009 (LA)

Ella Kate led the Louisiana TDP Elite 2009 team with nine goals over the three games at the GA Spring Showcase. She was dominant from start to finish, scoring goals with both feet from different areas of the field.

Averie Morrison

The Class of 2026 UNC Greensboro commit was sharp in the midfield for Wake FC 2008 during their perfect 3-0-0 run at the showcase. Morrison and her teammates did an outstanding job of holding possession and imposing their will, making key passes and tallying multiple assists.

This Uncommitted Class of 2026 goalkeeper was highly active during her time between the posts for Louisiana TDP Elite 2008, doing all the little things well.
