VIDEO: FC Virginia alum Emily Fox makes U.S. WNT debut
FC Virginia alum and current University of North Carolina standout Emily Fox made her international debut on Thursday with the senior U.S. Women’s National Team.
Fox earned a starting spot on the U.S. back line and played 62 minutes of shutout soccer during a 1-0 victory over Portugal, which was the 500th all-time win in program history for the USA. She was subbed off for Carli Lloyd in the 63rd minute.

The 20-year-old UNC sophomore, along with Danielle Colaprico, became the 26th and 27th players, respectively, to earn a first cap under head coach Jill Ellis.
