What made you decide to verbally commit to UTSA?
I really liked how the coaches and the team treated me. The players were very welcoming, and I felt comfortable right away. I also really liked the university and the facilities—they made me feel like it was a place where I could grow both as a player and as a person.
What was the recruiting process like and what did you learn about yourself while going through it?
My recruiting process was a bit long and involved a lot of ID camps and visits. Along the way, I learned not to get discouraged and to stay patient. It taught me the importance of finding the right fit, a school and team that values my style of play and where I can truly make an impact.
How do you feel your strengths on the field will help the Roadrunners?
I think I can contribute to the Roadrunners with my vision and technical ability on the ball, I can break lines, connect passes, and either set up goal-scoring opportunities or finish them myself.
What are your favorite subjects in school and what do you think you would like to study in college?
I’m still exploring my options, but marketing has captured my interest. English has always been my favorite subject, and I enjoy reading, writing, and understanding how language influences people skills that align closely with marketing.
What has your experience been like playing for Sting Austin so far?
My experience with Sting Austin has been really positive. I’ve have had great coaches who have helped me grow technically and tactically, and who have challenged me to evolve my style of play. The club puts a strong focus on player development, and being surrounded by talented teammates has pushed me to adapt to different playing styles and become a more complete player.
What are your favorite pair of cleats that you have ever owned?
I don’t have a favorite—my cleats wear out fast, so I’m always open to trying new ones and new brands.
If you could give one piece of advice to a younger player that wants to play at a high level, what would it be?
Start working on your ball control early, practicing barefoot can enhance your touch and foot strength. Playing futsal and indoor co-ed leagues sharpens decision-making and quick reactions. Also, trying other sports can boost your overall athleticism and adaptability on the field. Find a club that supports your growth as a player.
