CHICAGO — Continuing in its mission to grow the game and foster best playing environments, U.S. Soccer has announced the application window for A-Senior coaching education courses. Applications opened on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 12 p.m. CT. The window will close on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. CT.
The A-Senior coaching course is the second-highest course in U.S. Soccer’s coaching pathway, and guides participants to develop competencies to perform in a coaching role in a high-performance senior team environment, specifically at the collegiate and professional level.
The A-Senior course will have two in-person meetings during an 11-month period. Those in-person meetings will be held over four nights and five total days.
In addition to in-person meetings, virtual interaction and learning will take place on a weekly basis. Students will take part in large group, small group, and individual webinars.
Women accepted to the A-Senior course will have 50 percent of tuition covered by the Jill Ellis Scholarship Fund, established to increase the number of female coaches in the United States.
The application window will run from Oct. 10-25. Interested applicants should review the course details and pre-application checklist in the bullet points below. All applications must be submitted through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center.

Participants in U.S. Soccer Coaching Education courses will have the opportunity to earn a nationally recognized license from U.S. Soccer, a FIFA national association member, and the governing body of soccer in all its forms in the United States.
The next application window for A-Youth will open in spring 2024, with the courses beginning in August 2024.
